Food, Wine, Fun and The Castle!
Local Adelaide food business, Back 2 Basics Traditions, know how to put on a show! Their Longest Table dinner will be a special food affair featuring the screening of iconic Australian movie The Castle!
“Bringing people together around a table, sharing great food and conversation, is a philosophy that has formed the basis of our business ‘Back 2 Basics Traditions’,” Owners Mark and Rob said.
“There is an old Italian saying which was told to us by our parents…’a tavola non s’ínvecchia’ which means ‘when at the table, one does not grow old’.
“By this we came to realise that when we share a meal with family and friends, time stands still as all the worries of the world disappear and a good time is had by all.
“We have all been touched by cancer in one form or another, so we want to remember those who have passed and honour what they have taught us.”
Doing what they do best, food, Mark and Rob will be treating their guests to a traditional Italian inspired BBQ, freshly brewed coffee, delicious handmade cannoli and drinks – including D’arenberg wines and award winning Limoncello! Their dinner is open to the public for anyone to come along and enjoy a night of food and fun to fight cancer.
“The title of our fundraiser is ‘Suffer in Your Jocks’, which is a famous line from the Australian classic movie ‘The Castle’ which we will be screening on the night for everyone’s entertainment.
“We’ll also be running a raffle on the night which will include some exciting prizes from local South Australian businesses.”
What would a future free of cancer meant to these two passionate South Australian business owners?
“Put simply, a future free from cancer would be pure bliss.”
