Hosting a Dinner in Honour of Loved Ones
Michelle Lemmer is hosting her Longest Table this year in memory of her brother, brother-in-law and aunty who were all taken too soon from cancer, as well as other friends and family who are battling this cruel disease.
“I’ve lost my brother and aunty to cancer and earlier this year my brother-in-law lost his fight against cancer after only nine months, he was just 37-years-old.”
Believing that cancer needs to be a word of the past, Michelle is hosting her Longest Table dinner on the official night of Saturday July 21st where she’ll be joined by 50 friends. The theme of her dinner is ‘Clash of the Spices’, which will include some delicious curry dishes for her guests!
“We are welcoming our friends with a platter inspired by local South Australian business Tony and Marks and finishing off the night with some delicious desserts,” Michelle said.
“We will be raising funds by charging an admission at the door, as well as having some lucky door prizes and raffles.
“The night will be celebrating those we have lost and those who have won and raising much needed funds for cancer research.”
You can also host a dinner with your friends and join many others raising funds to stop the heartbreak of cancer.
“If the money I raise contributes towards a future free from cancer it would simply mean happiness for me, that no one has to suffer the loss of a loved one because of cancer,” Michelle said.
