Julia’s Gatsby Dinner to Fork Cancer!
Host Hero Julia Stawbridge is back for her fifth year of hosting a Longest Table!
Last year she raised just over an amazing $2,900 at her Christmas in July Longest Table which had a Tim Burton twist on a Nightmare before Christmas. This year, she’s determined to raise even more to say a big fork you to cancer – aiming to reach $3,000 for cancer research!
With her themes changing each year, this time around Julia has opted for a Great Gatsby 1920’s theme for her Longest Table event on the official night of Saturday July 21st.
“We picked a Gatsby party after watching the decadence of The Great Gatsby movie. Also it’s very easy to dress up and decorate for,” Julia said.
What keeps Julia coming back to The Longest Table?
“It’s a great excuse for a party that’s about a good cause. My husband has a huge family history of cancer so I’ll do anything to support research to protect him, my children and grandchildren.
“I love planning my Longest Table event. Everyone has fun and it mixes friends from every area of my life. We have been lucky to already get some great support and sponsors for this year thanks to the hard work of my daughter Tahlia.”
