Meet our Host Hero – Lorelei Thomas!

Forkstar Lorelei Thomas knows all too well the devastating impact of cancer and  is determined to continue raising much needed funds to fight this disease for a third year running!

Unfortunately, cancer is too common in her family.  Lorelei’s sister is a breast cancer survivor but her brother very sadly passed away three years ago from brain cancer.  There is also a significant family history of melanoma.

Lorelei wants to fork cancer by raising awareness and much needed funds for cancer research.

“I want to help stop cancer from destroying more lives than it has already.  I love to cook and I love to have friends over for dinner so The Longest Table was a natural choice,” Lorelei said.

Lorelei has decided on a “Black and White” affair and is going to be cooking up a delicious three course menu.

“I live in Bright, a small country town in North East Victoria and received amazing support last year with many local businesses donating prizes and vouchers that were used for raffles and prizes on the night and I hope to do the same this year,” Lorelei said.

Lorelei desperately wants a future free of cancer, experiencing the heartbreak that can happen to loved ones.

“Last year I had 30 people attend and we raised $5096.  This year with the same number of people I hope to raise $5000 again,” Lorelei said.
