Your favourite SA loving duo are back for their SIXTH year as Longest Table hosts!! 🎉🎉🎉 Together, they have raised an incredible $250,000 for Australian Breast Cancer Research and helped in the fight for a future free from cancer for those facing this heartbreaking disease. Now, Hayley and Lauren are gearing up for their hosting duties at their beautiful gala dinner with plenty of prizes, laughs and fundraising to be had!

1. Tell us a bit about Adelady and what your dynamic duo does across South Australia?

Above all else, we’re just two besties that love to explore SA together, and find all the hidden gems that Adelaide has to offer! We started Adelady seven years ago, and since then we’ve been all over sharing the best of the best on our social media platforms, in our magazine, and on our show hello SA on Channel 9. We love celebrating local businesses (big and small!) and sharing with our followers some of the best spots to visit.

2. Why have you decided to come back again to #ForkCancer?

We held our first Longest Table event in 2018 and since then it’s been one of the highlights of every year for us! Not only is it one of our favourite ways to get all the people we love and work with in a room, but it’s also soooo much fun raising money for a cause so close to our hearts!

3. Can you tell us about your relationship to cancer and the impact it has had on your families?

So our fundraising specifically supports Australian Breast Cancer Research 🎗️, and the reason we’re so passionate about that area is because both of our mums have been touched by breast cancer, as well as close friends. Our team is built of women in their 20’s to their 50’s, so it’s so important for us to keep the conversation going and keep funding such important research around a disease that could potentially impact the women in our lives that we adore so much.

4. What is your goal for your Longest Table in 2022?

Every year we try and make our event bigger and better than ever, so that our fundraising keeps growing! We’re aiming for $50,000, we’ll have to wait and see what we can do — with the incredible support of the people that come along on the night of course!

5. What advice do you have for someone hosting their first Longest Table?

Our biggest piece of advice would be to just DO it! Sign up to host, invite your besties around for lunch or dinner, have a couple of glasses of bubbles and raise money for this incredible cause. It can be as complicated or as simple as you want it to be, but you’ll never regret getting together with people that you love to do something awesome.

6. You’ve hosted many Longest Table’s over the years. Is there a particular Longest Table that stands out in your memory?

To be honest, each of our Longest Table’s have been filled with so much fun and passion and laughter — but our first big event after Covid hit was pretty special.

7. What is your favourite part about being ambassadors? (You can pick more than one!)

More than anything, we just love being aligned with the Longest Table and Hospital Research Foundation because we believe in the work that they do. You can feel the passion for the cause from every team member, we can clearly see the support that they offer to South Australian’s going through so many different tough situations, and we get to host a big party with our mates. But above all else, we love that as ambassadors, we really feel like we can make a difference.
