Creative Themes for your Longest Table!
With the introduction of the booming Adelaide Bar scene, I think it’s safe to say that we love a good theme. Generations of Adelaidians have started their nights in or out with themes at the footy club, your grandparents 70th or (if you’re like me) a Barbie themed 6th birthday party that has solidified itself in primary school party history.
Here are our top picks for a themed Longest Table!
Aloha! Replicate those Summer vibes with a hot pink and fruity Flamingo party. Why Flamingo’s? Why not? Let’s get Flocked Up! Fruit platters, palm trees, lots of sweets and super ironic sunnies are definitely on the menu for a Flamingo party. Crank the heat up to a balmy 25 degrees, whip out the Hawaiian shirts and PAR-TAY!

It’s Groovy Baby. Fundraising to Fork Cancer that is! Send the call out for 60s, 70s, 80s or other iconic eras as the costume code for your dinner and watch the hilarity ensue. Poodle Skirts, Peace Signs and Puffy Sleeves can easily be found at nearby op-shops and means you can be creative with the menu choice.

There’s no time to Siesta, it’s time to Fiesta! Mexico has a beautiful and rich history of throwing some pretty cool parties… and making even better food! The ideas are limitless when paying homage to the brains behind Margaritas, Tacos and Cilantro Lime Rice (Yum!). Gather some succulents for a beautiful table centerpiece and pull together a ‘Pin The Tail On The Donkey’ or ‘Pinata’ for a memorable Mexican themed Longest Table.
