Cancer. How has it affected your life?
I know every single person reading this has their own story.
Over the years, cancer has deeply impacted my family and friends. We’ve said goodbye to a one-of-a-kind man taken by mesothelioma. We’ve watched a strong, determined woman fight through breast cancer. We’ve witnessed the heartbreak of a loved one losing her mum to pancreatic cancer. We’ve faced a prostate cancer diagnosis in the family. And recently, a beautiful friend has gone through her own battle with breast cancer.
Every diagnosis has been different—but the pain, fear, and grief are always the same.
This is why I care so deeply about supporting @thelongesttable. It’s more than a fundraiser—it’s a fight. A fight that raises money for real research and real hope. I don’t want my children growing up with the same fear we now carry—wondering who will be next. That fear is heavy, and I want to be part of the reason we move closer to a world without it.
Each year I have hosted this event with a different theme, and this year is going to be a lot of fun. I'm throwing a Yacht Rock Fundraiser—think smooth 70s and 80s tunes with DJ Jimmy Flamingo setting the vibe. There’ll be auctions, raffles, and of course, prizes for best dressed.
