I'm helping to #ForkCancer by hosting a Longest Table!

I'm hosting a Longest Table to raise money for life-changing cancer research. Sadly, almost 452 Australians are diagnosed with cancer every day - that's 74 friends, parents, workmates and kids during the time it takes to host a meal.

Please donate to my Table - every dollar raised helps change these statistics by funding life-changing cancer research through The Hospital Research Foundation Group.

Monday 24th Aug
With only 4 days to go before our forking great sausage sizzle, raffle and auction event, I have been gifted 3 oil paintings by a local artist,  1 home brew  starter kit, a leather jacket, 2 belt bucklers (1 blokes and 1 Sheila's) and the list keeps growing. 
So its time to stop forking around and put your name down as attending. 
The Buxton General Store kitchen will be closing at 5 in order to get our event under way. 

I'm gunna need a bigger table

Donations for my raffle are coming in with all shapes and sizes.
I have received a few items way to good to be put into a $1 a ticket prize, so I'm stepping up the fun and am going to have an auction of these better items after the raffle finishes.

Hi everybody.
We here at the Buxton General Store QLD have all been touched by cancer in one way or another.
We have a sneaky little get together every Friday night, so I thought why not host our longest table on the 28th of the month, this not only coincides with the official day, but also coincides with our monthly prize draw of a $50 voucher.  To keep it forking interesting,  I've decided to do a good old fashioned sausage sizzle.
I have already been able to obtain a donation of snags from our local butcher, loaves of bread from our local baker,our very own master chef and firewood from our local whiteant.
I have gone one step further and decided to try and get donations from local businesses to have a MEGE raffle, (I'm gunna need more tickets).
