I'm helping to #ForkCancer by hosting a Longest Table!
This August, I'm hosting a Longest Table to raise money for life-changing cancer research. Sadly, almost 452 Australians are diagnosed with cancer every day - that's 74 friends, parents, workmates and kids during the time it takes to host a meal.
I lost my grandmother to cancer 20 years ago, have helped my mother-in-law through ovarian cancer treatment, watched friends and colleagues affected by various cancers and in the last 7 months my husband and I have lost 2 friends to cancer, the first was diagnosed in July 2024 and passed in December, the second was diagnosed in late February and passed 3 days later at the age of 42, leaving behind a wife and two children under 5. In January, my uncle was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma and on Saturday 14th June we were asked to see him to say goodbye as he's been given 1 month to live. To add to our pain, we received word that my father-in-law had lesions on his lungs (he's never smoked) and that they would be conducting further tests to find the primary source of his cancer. It's a trying time, but united we will get through it.
Please donate to my Table - every dollar raised helps change these statistics by funding life-changing cancer research through The Hospital Research Foundation Group.
Let's #ForkCancer together!
