The official date for The Longest Table is Saturday 27th July 2019. If you’re busy that day, no worries, you can host your Longest Table whenever suits you between now and 31st August.

You can host your Longest Table at home, your workplace or a restaurant/ eatery of your choice.

As the host, you cover the cost of your Longest Table or alternatively, you share the cost with your friends – it’s up to you. When you register, you will receive your forkin’ awesome Host Goodie Bag packed full of things to help you plan and put on your Longest Table, including handy discount vouchers from our sponsors.

If being fancy is your thing (or not), your Longest Table is your time to shine in the kitchen. You can tease your friends with your menu selections on your Host Page. Don’t forget to check out The Longest Table on Facebook for some recipe inspiration or visit the News & Recipes section of the website to access recipe ideas.

So that you can immediately see the progress of your fundraising towards your target, encourage your friends to donate online via your Table page. However, we understand that some people like to give cash. Inside your Goodie Bag you’ll find a cash donation box. You have a couple of options in allocating the money to your table:

Option 1: Make individual donations for your guests

Keep the cash and make individual donations on your own Table Page so your donors receive their receipt via email.

Option 2: Make a lump sum donation

Keep the cash and make a lump sum donation to your own Table Page which means no individual receipts will be given.

Option 3: Make a bank transfer or direct deposit

To ensure we can track the funds you have banked and allocate them to your fundraising total, complete the Offline Donation form you received in your Host Goodie Bag – bank details are on the form. If you would like an electronic copy of the form please email us on

Option 4: Drop into The Hospital Research Foundation office at 60 Woodville Road Woodville SA with your completed Offline Donation form.

Donations of $2.00 or more are tax deductible. All donors will be provided with an automatic tax receipt via email on completion of an online donation. Please let us know if you require a manual receipt book to issue receipts on the night of your Longest Table and we can send you one.
