Host guide
Your host guide will answer all your burning questions, from where your donations go and how to make your event a success, to consolidating your donations, and the incredible community you’re joining. The Longest Table host guide is a must read for first time and even returning hosts looking to host a stellar event.
Balloons
Decorate your venue with branded Longest Table balloons. Bright and colourful, these are set to brighten up any setting. You might like to use them as table centre pieces, create a photo wall, display them at your entrance, or gift them as party favours.
Posters
Your host kit includes a double sided poster that you may like to display in your workplace, at your Table, or photocopy to include in invites. Your kit includes:
- Goal poster: Let everyone know your fundraising goal and track your 25%, 50% and 75% milestones.
- Research poster: Show your guests exactly where your funds go - directly to cancer research through The Hospital Research Foundation Group.
Raffle Book
One of the age-old tips from the fundraiser’s handbook is hosting a raffle. Hosting a raffle at your Longest Table is a fantastic way to increase excitement and raise additional funds. You might like to ask your friends and family for raffle item donations, or even your favourite local businesses. Many businesses are willing to support community events, especially for a good cause. Make sure to print out your 'Letter of Authority to Fundraise' in your host dashboard to reach out to local business for reduced cost or in-kind items.
Table decorations
Your host kit is also full of fun table decorations for your Longest Table including:
- Table talker – featuring facts about your impact and QR code to learn more and donate
- Cash box – If your guests have cash on hand, invite them to fill up your cash box with donations. Add your name and event name to personalise
- Place cards – If you’re hosting a seated event, fill out your place cards with guest names to make them feel special
Tax receipts and banking cash form
Has a guest requested a tax receipt from their in-person donation at your event? Simply invite them to record their name and contact details. The best part – you can fill out multiple requests on the same form. Send this form back to us via post or email and we’ll send out receipts to your guests for their donations.

Online resources
As well as those included in your host kit, your host dashboard also features a heap of prinatble resources to kick your event up a notch!
- Giant fork: You may have seen images from previous events featuring guests holding giant forks. These are available to hire for guests hosting in Metro Adelaide, however if you are hosting out-of-state, regionally, or prefer to print your own, check out the A0 digital file!
- Tax reciept request form: Has a guest requested a tax receipt for their cash donation at your Table? Simply download the form from your dashboard and ask them to record their name and contact details.
The best part – you can fill out multiple requests on the same form. Email the form back to us contactus@thelongesttable.com.au and we’ll send out receipts to your guests for their donations. This isn't required for online donations, everyone will get their receipt almost instantly, PLUS you'll reach your reward milestones quicker!
- Menu – Perhaps you’ve designed a fabulous feast for your guests, write your menu on our handy printable file and display on your tablescape.
- Social tiles – Get the word out about your event by sharing our fun social tiles to your personal social media accounts. Call out for donations, let your followers know how much you’ve raised, or invite others to your event.
- Event checklist – Designed to make your event planning easier, the checklist will make sure you won’t miss a thing!
