For the past eight years, Rebecca has been setting the table, inviting friends and family, and raising crucial funds for cancer research. But for her, this isn’t just about a meal—it’s about fighting for a future free from cancer for her two young boys.
“Cancer scares me, and I’m frightened of who’s next. I just hope my boys don’t have that fear when they grow up," says Rebecca.
With cancer touching so many loved ones around her—family members, close friends, and in-laws—Rebecca knew she had to do something. When she discovered The Longest Table, she saw the perfect opportunity to make a difference.
What started as a small gathering of girlfriends has grown into an annual event Rebecca’s community looks forward to. And she’s not afraid to get creative!
Theme nights have become a highlight, with last year’s '80s party' taking the cake. The costumes were next-level, with someone even arriving in a vintage wedding gown from the 80s. The laughter, the generosity, and the spirit of giving made it a night to remember.
