$105,000 Raised by Adelady for Breast Cancer Research

04 Aug 2023

Ambassadors Hayley Pearson and Lauren De Cesare hosted their seventh Longest Table in spectacular fashion, raising their highest ever amount of $105,000 for Australian Breast Cancer Research!

With the support of their hosting partner G-Fresh Spices, the duo grooved their way to fundraising success alongside 370 guests at their disco-themed Longest Table, hosted at Sunnybrae Estate on 14 July 2023.

“We’re still in shock that we managed to raise $105,000 — that kind of fundraising is absolutely mind-blowing, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of local businesses and a pretty special group of South Australians with some huge hearts,” said Lauren.

Guests were welcomed to a beautifully styled pink, glitter and sequin-filled event, with all decorations generously donated by local businesses such as Style Nest, Balloon Joy, The Ivory Scribe, The Hangin Co, Modern Party, Flowers on your Mind, Jak’s Hire and Events and The Social Hour to bring Adelady’s disco vision to life. Cocktails, wine and beer were donated by Bickfords, Vickers Gin, Hither & Yon and Big Shed Brewing.

“As soon as the doors opened, there was a fantastic vibe in the air. Everyone knew why they were there, and you could feel the love just bursting from the room. The dance floor was pumping before 9pm, it was so awesome to see people were so ready to have a good time,” said Hayley.

Adelady’s Longest Table featured a silent and live auction filled with luxury holidays, artwork, South Australian food, wine and experiences, and highly sought-after memorabilia from Lebron James, Shane Warne, and even a guitar signed by Taylor Swift!

Guests were captivated by a moving speech from Dr Evelyn Yap OAM, a radiologist who was awarded the Order of Australia medal for her service to medicine and support for multiculturalism.

“Not only has Evelyn worked with breast cancer patients since 1990, but she also has a really personal connection to the disease. It was the first time she shared that story publicly, and it was incredibly powerful. We’re so proud that Evelyn chose to share that story with us all,” said Hayley.

Hayley and Lauren’s dedication over the past seven years has raised over $400,000 for Australian Breast Cancer Research! Thank you, Adelady, for your dedication to #ForkCancer!
