The beauty of The Longest Table is that your gathering can be as simple or extravagant as you’d like. From backyard BBQs to trivia nights and intimate dinners at home, our hosts sure know how to put together a unique event!
The Longest Table team have seen countless events over 13 years, and we are so excited to share our blasts from the past to inspire your own imaginative Longest Table.
AUSTRALIANA π¦β
Dedicated host Bek celebrated all things Aussie with an Australiana themed Longest Table in 2022. Guests rocked their Akubras and R. M. Williams boots while they listened to classic Aussie tracks, ate delish native-inspired dishes and of course, raised funds to #ForkCancer!
CHRISTMAS IN JULY π
You can host anytime between July & August, why not host Christmas in July? Dig out your best Christmas sweater from your closet, dust off your decorations from December and get ready to sit by the fire and feast on your favourite Christmas treats for a good cause!
In 2025, Brenda did just that! She gathered her closest around the Table, dressed in their best Christmas colours and raised over $2,000 at home.
BIG AUSSIE BOGAN BASH πβ
Long-time host Sean wanted a simple yet fun theme for his Longest Table in 2022, and Big Aussie Bogan Bash well and truly fit the criteria!
“We really wanted to be present with our guests and enjoy the night, so we did a simple sausage sizzle, party pies and sausage rolls,” said Sean.
“For fundraising, we played various games with a gold coin donation per turn, the games included throw the thong into the eski, toss the hoop on to the wine bottle and throw the hoop on to the carton. We also held a raffle.”
Sean also screened an Aussie classic – The Castle!
Work lunch for a cause π©π»β
The team at Knight Frank chose a team lunch for a cause to #ForkCancer. Guests enjoyed lunch with some fundraising on the side - a great use of the raffle book from your Host Kit!
SCHOOL OF ROCK βπ€β
Long-time ambassador Kathryn Hudson took her guests back to the school yard with her School of Rock themed Longest Table! Guests enjoyed treats from the canteen at recess and lunch, played hand ball and even got to throw a class party. All guests were well behaved and managed to miss detention...
Drag Queen Bingo πβ
Para Hills West Soccer Club know how to have a great time! The club decorated their rooms with all things rainbow and hosted a night to remember. Local drag queens hosted a hilarious and memorable evening of bingo and helped raise over $5,000! What an incredible effort!
BIRTHDAY PARTY! π₯³β
Hip hip hooray! In 2022, dedicated host Geoff celebrated The Longest Table’s 10th birthday with balloons, streamers, an auction and a cake to top it off!
Got a birthday coming up before August? Why not get your loved ones together to #ForkCancer in lieu of gifts! A birthday party is a simple way to bring people together and direct their generosity towards a cause you care about.
BRIDGERTON πβ
Bridgerton fans unite! Host Michelle took her guests to the Regency era in high society London for an afternoon at Jarmers Kitchen. Guests donned gloves, tiaras, wigs and their most regal frocks as they sipped champagne and participated in a variety of fundraising activities.
HIGH TEA ββ
Hosting a high tea offers guests a unique opportunity to dress up for a refined afternoon of elegance! Enjoy finger foods like sandwiches, biscuits, cakes and mini quiches alongside your cup of tea (or champagne)! Longest Table host Susan invited guests for a ladies' afternoon filled with treats, chatting and of course, fundraising!
HALLOWEEN π»β
Enter if you dare! In 2022, Naomi hosted a spookalicious Longest Table with a haunted house theme!
The fang-tastic night included a forktastic menu with appetisers of band-aids and blood-shot eyes (crackers, cream cheese, sweet chilli and oyster shots), an entrée of fresh flesh and demon venom (sashimi with crème fresh and soy sauce), a main of delicious skeleton bones with deadites (ribs, crown of lamb, caprese salad and green beans), and a scrumptious spewing head, ghosts and blood for dessert (fresh fruit, meringue, cream with raspberry coulis)!
Guests dressed up in their spookiest costumes to frighten off cancer by raising lifesaving funds.
